Warren House,is in a lovely location, the facilities are excellent. We were greeted with a drink and home made cake which we Had in the pretty garden. The breakfast had a wide range of food to suit all tastes. We had friends with us from Australia who were as impressed as we were.

Tips:

There were places within walking distance to eat,The George was very nice.Small villages in the locality were mentioned in the information pack for places to eat. Places to visit,Bridport, through the town to Dorchester on the Beaminster road look for Mangerton Mill old water wheel and home made "Goodies".Corfe Castle the ruins and town. Moreton the church St.Nicholas where T E Laurence is buried, old school house great cafe,do go in and see beautiful windows by Laurence Whistled.

A lovely old Dorset country house with large rooms and a very warm welcome. Do not expect an up-market boutique vibe but a traditional, homely environment representing good value for money.

Tips:

It's an easy walk to the beautiful coast at Seatown with more challenging (steep!) walking along the cliffs to Golden Cap to the west or West Bay to the east. Plenty of excellent pubs and cafes for refreshments in the area and an eclectic mix of individual shops in Bridport.

Lovely characterful cottage. Friendly and helpful hosts. Most comfortable bed and then best coffee ever at breakfast. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Tips:

We liked The anchor pub by the beach at Seatown. Lovely coastal walks, exploring quirky shops in Lyme Regis , where we found a great cafe 'Aroma' which also does delicious vegan and gluten free cakes. We also liked Felicity's farm shop for snacks, Morisson's in Bridport for a bottle of wine.

A beautiful house with lovely gardens, we could not fault Warren House. All the little attention to details makes this B&B stand heads above any other I have ever stayed at. Our room (The Golden Cap room) was beautiful with an amazing bathroom, comfortable beds, teas/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits/bottled water all left for us, and gorgeous fluffy white towels topped it off! Excellent breakfast every morning from a full English to lovely homemade muesli and fruit and homemade preserves. The owners were away on holiday so we were looked after by Gloria who gave us a lovely welcome and looked after us very well. 10 out of 10 for everything, we will be back as soon as we can!

Tips:

Lovely food at The George in Chideok, especially Pizza night on a Thursday, delicious and a very warm welcome in there. The Club House and The Manor Hotel, both in West Bexington, are both worth a visit too - lovely menu in The Manor and excellent coffee and cake down on the beach at The Club House.

We have been to Warren House a few times before and always have a lovely holiday there. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with a homely feel to them. The hosts are welcoming and friendly, and provide tea and cake on arrival, which is a nice touch if you arrive mid afternoon. There is a great choice of breakfasts which are delicious.

Tips:

The location is ideal for some good walks. We did a nice walk to Golden Cap. Burton Bradstock is nearby and worth a visit. It is also not far from Chesil Beach which is beautiful. It is about 5 or 6 miles to Lyme Regis. There is a pub across the road from Warren House and another just along the road, The George. You can walk to Sea Town where The Anchor Pub also does very good food. Nearest town centre is Bridport where there are some high street shops and cafes.

1st June 2019:

Beautiful cottage and grounds. Private parking was an absolute treat, leading straight into private back garden and cottage entrance. Not the quietest room, as the main road in and out of the village is very busy all day long. However, the location of the cottage for trips out during the day is perfect. The owners, namely Jane, Laurie and their helper Gloria are fantastic. Always helpful, incredibly friendly and very very welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere you really look forward to!

Tips:

There are a couple of friendly pubs to eat at on the doorstep, and food is good, reasonably priced too. There is plenty to see within a half hours drive from the cottage, for example Lyme Regis and Bridport.

Booked this for my daughter and her husband for a 1 night emergency stay. She was extremely pleased. Her comment,"mum its absolutely perfect". She couldn't help herself by taking photos to make me jealous. The accommodation was clean with every possible accessory needed for your stay. The breakfast was very good, as being strict vegetarian, they were able to meet her needs no problem. Excellent

Tips:

Very near to the Jurrasic coast, West Bay beach and harbour, the filming of Broadchurch, Harbour Lights, etc. Plenty of little villages and coastal beauty to explore.

Great location near Dorset coast (Sea Town about a mile down road) especially for walking. Bus stop for X53 coastal buses right outside! Good value B&B with relaxed, friendly owners.

Tips:

Anchor Inn at Seatown does good food - busy, can't book so get there early! Two other pubs in Chideock near Warren House. Get a bus timetable for X51 and X53 buses so can do linear walks along spectacular coast with bus back.

Very friendly with a homely feel. Couldn't believe how excited I was to find we had wine glasses rather than having to use the little tumblers. Sometimes it's the little touches that make the biggest impact. Great plentiful breakfast. Some good tips on where to visit, especially good places to get cake!

Tips:

3 good walkable pubs. The Clock across the road is,I'd say the most reasonably priced. The FREE donkey sanctuary was good, but for purely relaxing there's plentiful beautiful beaches. Particularly liked Beer, Sidmouth and Burton Bradstock.

Having walked the majority of the South West Coastal Path, we have stayed in many B&Bs along the way. Warren House is one of the best B&Bs we’ve encountered. Jane and Laurie are incredibly personable but without being intrusive. They balance this exceptionally well. We received a great welcome with tea and cake in the garden. Breakfasts were fab.....especially the mushrooms! Lovely to see the owners sourcing items locally. The room was tastefully decorated to a high standard and was spotlessly clean. The glazing was effective in minimising the traffic on the road through the village. In summary......a gem of a place with lovely hosts!

Tips:

If walking the South West Coast Path......the B&B is a 15 minute walk along the bridleway from Seatown.

2nd July 2018:

An excellent bed and breakfast! Clean, comfortable, car parking, and in a good location, especially for Bridport and the Dorset coast. Jane and Laurie made us very welcome, and were always helpful and interested in our plans. Our room was spotlessly clean (as was the whole house) and the bed very comfortable. The beautiful garden at the back was an oasis of calm and shade (it was very hot while we were there). Breakfast delicious, and plenty of choice, and lots of fruit as well as the usual.

Tips:

Only 3/4 mile from Seatown, on the Coast Path. Don’t walk up the ‘main’ road, but take the track on the right, opposite the caravan park shop - it’s much quieter and no further. We ate twice at The Clock, opposite Warren House. It was down to earth, friendly, and food was very good. Useful bus service to Bridport or Lyme Regis.

Lovely traditional thatched cottage. Lovely room. Owner was very friendly and could tell us a lot about the local area. Breakfast was superb. Minor down side was that the house is on a busy main road. However, our room did not face the road and it did not bother us at all. Anywhere in Crideock will have some noise from the road as it goes right through the town

Tips:

You can easily take a 15 minute walk to the coast at Seatown from Warren House. At Seatown there is the Plough Inn which is a great location and great food. The Catholic Church in Crideock is well work a visit as it has a small museum which is a must.

Jane and Lorrie. Thank you. Everything was just fine. Comfortable room, ample breakfast, gorgeous garden, lovely lemon cake and we'll no doubt be returning soon.

Tips:

Avoid the Clock pub - dreary. The George pub - very good food and quiz night on a Sunday. Seatown - Golden Cap - pub on the cliff - massive portions of fish and chips inspiring views. Lyme Regis - for a walk along the cob. Bridport on a market day.

Beautiful house, our room was lovely- we had the golden cap room with four of us ( 2 adults and 2 children) . Well stocked tea and coffee, hot chocolate - Freddo bars on the kids beds on arrival which was much appreciated ( and devoured in a minute!) . Jane was very welcoming on arrival with tray of tea and lemon cake! Nice shower and proper fluffy towels(!) - something you don’t always get when you stay away. Breakfast was lovely and Jane was very kind in always offering more if we wanted it! We felt very at home and looked after- thankyou so much!

Tips:

Definitely the Taj Mahal in Bridport- we had a lovely curry there one evening. The short walk that’s in the room folder ( 40 minutes) is worth doing for the gem of a church you can visit - an historical room has been especially created there going all the way back to Domesday era, life under different Monarchs and the Reformation - it’s absolutely fascinating. We didn’t realise that we were so close to a great beach for fossil hunting when we booked- a lovely 20 minute walk away. Charmouth and Lyme Regis are very close by too .

We very much enjoyed our all too brief stay, and were made to feel very welcome, particular mention of the tea and cake on arrival and our breakfasts each morning. Parking only a very short walk from the house through the colourful garden.

Tips:

Evening meals at the local pubs, the George and the Clock were good. Take the circular walk from the House to the top of Golden Cap off the Seatown road, and back down along the clifftop to Seatown then taking the bridle path back to the A35 / Chideock. Visit the Lyme Regis brewery & shop at the Town Mill in the centre of Lyme Regis. Stop for biscuits at Moore's Morecombelake on the A35. Otherwise, all the usual locations along the Jurassic Coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Probably the best B&B breakfasts we have had. Location for Dorset coast is excellent and though a busy road runs through the village, it is relatively quiet inthe evenings. Warren House is full of character as a listed hustoric thatched cottage. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Good quality linen and a comfortable bed. Delightful and friendly hosts. Helpful brochure regarding things to do, places to see and eat. Would we return? Yes.

Tips:

Pubs and gastro pubs within walking distance, and many more within a short drive. Cenrally located on the Jurassic Coast so if you are a fossil hunter, plenty of scope . Coastal footpath 15 minute walk from Warren House.
